There are two main types of vultures: Old World vultures, which are found in Africa, Asia, and Europe; and New World vultures, which are found in North and South America. Vultures have bald heads and long necks, and they typically have dark plumage. The Old World vultures also have a hook-shaped bill, while the New World vultures have a bare head with a hooked beak.
